Well, that was unexpected (the running theme of my life). I finished work earlier than planned, so decided to make the most of it and headed out for what is becoming known as a ‘Transport Day Out’. Some pals were in Wales for the day exploring the lines around Cardiff before the rail scene changes dramatically at the end of the year, so I thought I’d join them.
I won’t lie, pals, it was tedious. I love trains (obviously, this should not be a surprise), but I can only take so much of going backwards and forwards without even getting off. It didn’t help that a rift also formed between some during the day. But alas.
All was not lost, however! A chance message to the amazing Beth saw her drag herself out of bed and drive over to Cardiff to catch up. We sought refuge in a Spoons of the Wether, and had a good old catch up. Beth’s the best (but I’ll never admit it again).
