Today it was to Liverpool; an escape weekend to catch up with some pals and treat myself to a bit of rest and recuperation. As we all know, I’m something of a transport geek and one of my favourite places to come is the Wirral Transport Museum in Birkenhead. Running from the Mersey Ferry Terminal along the docks to a small Museum at Woodside, the attraction is a cheap yet enjoyable few hours for anyone, whether you’re a transit enthusiast or not.
Afterwards, I headed back into Liverpool City Centre and spent an equally enjoyable few hours in an establishment of J.D. Wetherspoon. I met up with fellow transport geeks Paul and Robert, and we nattered the night away with cider and gin.
And maybe one of my shoes has ended up in the Mersey.
